When asked about a missing pie, their theory involves the temptation of forbidden fruit leading to a plan for murder, complete with a very thorough and very nauseating method of corpse disposal. And then, when promoted to actual junior detectives and given assignments, it only gets worse. To be fair, they maintain a surprising amount of innocence through the whole thing.
